Summary :

Brief agreement with three provisions: (1) that both sides had ?renounced forever the use of force and the threat to use force in resolving all disputed issues?; (2) that both sides agreed ?to construct relations in accordance with the generally-recognized principles and norms of international law, and to deal with one another on the basis of specific agreements?; and (e) that the treaty would ?serve as the basis for additional treaties and agreements on the entire complex of mutual relations.? Treaty was accompanied by two intergovernmental agreements, one dealing with economic cooperation, and the second with the mechanism for effecting financial transfers between Russian Central Banka and Chechen government.
