is the summer school?
International Summer School is an annual event
which takes place in June. The next summer school
will run from Friday June 17th to Friday June 24th 2016.
do I need to apply?

is the summer school held?
|Between Friday 17 June until Sunday 19 June the course takes place at Corrymeela in Ballycastle (and includes a day trip to Belfast), between Sunday evening 19 June and 25 June the course takes place at the Magee campus of the Ulster University, Northland Road, Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland. INCORE's offices are situated in Aberfoyle House within the Magee Campus. See Travel section below for how to get there.
much does the summer school cost?

|All Inclusive Rate: this rate is inclusive of all fees, tour and fieldtrip transport, meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), accommodations and activities but does not include the cost of flights, local transport to the Summer School or Visa if needed
Early Bird: £950 (Payments received by April 29th)
Standard: £1,200 (Payments received by May 27th)
If you do not want University Accommodation (Sunday to Friday night inclusive) subtract £150 from above.
does the summer school fee cover?
The rate is inclusive of all fees, tours and fieldtrip transport, meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee/tea once a day), accommodations and activities (from lunchtime on Friday 17 June until dinner on 24 June) but does not include the cost of flights, local transport to the Summer School or Visa if needed. It does not include cost of your own drinks, snacks or incidentals. You will have to pay for all your own meals while travelling to and from the Summer School, and getting to and from the airport in your country.
For the 2016 Summer School we will be offering full bursaries that will cover the full cost of attendants(including the cost of meals, accommodations, activities and in addition to this we will contribute UP TO A MAXIMUM of £700 contribution for your flight). The bursary will cover all fees, tours and fieldtrip transport, meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee/tea once a day), accommodations and activities (from lunchtime on Friday 17 June until dinner on 24 June). It does not include cost of your own drinks, snacks or incidentals. You will have to pay for all your own meals while travelling to and from the Summer School, and getting to and from the airport in your country. This year in an effort to fulfill our commitment to diversity we invite young entrepreneurs who are nationals and current residents of one of these following countries ONLY, which are currently emerging from conflict, to apply for a bursary; Colombia, South Africa, Venezuela, Kosovo, Uganda, Lebanon or Sri Lanka. We look forward to being able to offer these bursaries to other countries in the years to come. Applicants must obtain a Visa, speak fluent English and provide proof of residency in one of the above countries (Such as a letter from an employer or University).

do I pay?
After you submit the application form, the Summer School Selection Panel will consider the merit of your application. You will be informed via email as to whether you have been offered a provisional place on the programme by March 25th 2016. This offer is conditional pending receipt of full payment of fees by cheque, credit card or electronic bank transfer on or as soon as possible after acceptance of application.
In order to receive the early bird rate payment must be received by the 29th of April, those paying the standard rate must pay by the 27th of May to insure their place.

The Clinton International Summer School and INCORE welcomes a wide range of individuals from various backgrounds. Applicants are expected to be completing or educated to a minimum of degree level in a relevant subject area, and/or to have relevant work experience in a peace and conflict related area. We encourage anyone, from young entrepreneurs to mid level participants from all backgrounds: academics, policy makers and practitioners to apply. The 2016 programme is specifically for young entrepreneurs, by this we mean those who are new to the field of developing a business or social entrepreneurial idea or enterprise and is not necessarily age dependent - click on 'About the Summer School ' menu option.

L/Derry is most easily reached from the following
- Belfast Port which is located 1.5km from the Belfast city centre and L/Derry can be reached via bus, train, taxi or car hire.
- Larne lies 32 Km east of Belfast and again L/Derry can be reached via public transport or private car hire.
- P&O operate
the shortest and fastest crossing between Scotland
and Larne in just 60 minutes. Seacat operates
a service from Troon in Scotland and Heysham
in England to Belfast, and Stena HSS operate
crossings from Scotland to Belfast with a 90
minute service. Norse Irish Ferries operate
an overnight service between Liverpool and Belfast.
RAIL and BUS
train station is located at Duke Street in the
Waterside area of the city and it is served daily
by the Belfast to Derry service. This train stops
at various towns en route including Ballymena,
Coleraine, Portrush, Castlerock and Limavady. The
L/Derry bus station is located on Foyle Street
and is served hourly by the Belfast to Derry service.
There are also many bus services that operate
within the city and this is a cheap way of getting
around the area. Full details of rail and bus services

INCORE help me with my visa application?
Some students may require a Visa in order to travel to the UK to take part in this course. It is each individual students own responsibility to obtain a Visa.
For those paying for the course, once accepted and payment has been received we will provide a formal letter of acceptance needed for a Visa application.
If you are offered a bursary a letter will be supplied as proof of acceptance and that we will cover your costs. It will then be up to the individual to obtain their visa.
You should ensure that you make payment for any visas without delay as INCORE cannot accept responsibility for visa refusal and our cancellation policy will apply.
If you require this supporting documentation please inform INCORE without delay. You need to provide INCORE with your full contact details including full postal address, telephone number, fax number and email address. INCORE will send all supporting documentation directly to you so that you can enclose them with your visa application. The Visa Office has asked that we do NOT send supporting documentation to their office therefore please do not ask INCORE to do so.

of The Certificate-of-Training In Peace Support

is the summer school accommodation?
Accommodation are provided for eight nights from Friday 17 June until Sunday 19 June participants stay at Corrymeela in Ballycastle, between Sunday 19 June until Saturday Morning, 25 June 2016 takes place at Ulster University Student Village, Duncreggan and is included in the price of attendance. Participants will be staying in an ensuite room in self-catering apartments with a shared kitchen and dining area. The apartments are situated in the Ulster University Student Village, Duncreggan.
The accommodations include the provision of bedding/towels/utensils etc with linen change after the 3rd night’s stay. Participants should bring their own clothes hangers, if required.

buildings for example, please let INCORE know as
soon as possible.

is the weather like?
weather in the North West of Ireland is quite
variable, even in summer. It can and often
does rain at any time of year so you are advised
to bring a jacket or coat suitable for wet
weather. The temperature in June is unlikely
to exceed 20°C so you should bring warmer
clothes if you are accustomed to warmer temperatures.
